About OTR

Welcome to ON THE RISE FASTPITCH! At OTR, we provide girls quality professional pitching instruction, helping to excel their fastpitch softball career into the highest level of the game. Upon submission of the OTR application, pitchers are immediately integrated into a professionally-developed pitching lesson program that requires a high level of commitment. We coach pitchers with goals ranging from learning how to pitch to winning at the collegiate level.

On The Rise Fastpitch is a comprehensive, structured, and intense softball training program for girls located in and around Madison and Milwaukee Wisconsin. Pitching lesson programs are designed by an elite pitching coach for the serious pitcher who wants to improve and rise up to the next level. Teaching is based on natural body movements to gain maximum speed, accuracy, and prevent injury.

About the OTR Pitching Lesson Program

Three sessions are offered. The first session includes mechanics, speed, pitch learning, pitch movement, spins and spin speeds. This session will start in September and run until right before Christmas. The second and third sessions will continue speed and mechanics with focus on location; i.e. moving the ball in and out of the zone, mental and physical preparation for games, and identifying weaknesses in batters. This session will start after the New Year and finish once the spring softball season begins. Students will be placed in groups of 5 according to age and skill level. All participants will be required to have a SpinRight spinner and indoor practice ball for lessons. The spinner may be difficult to find in retail stores. You can find it and the indoor practice balls online at www.shopclubk.com or purchase from your instructor. All students are expected to practice outside of their lesson and encouraged to keep a training log.
